Open-source Platform

RECITALS aims to build an open-source platform that integrates into a common framework a wide variety of techniques and services for privacy-preserving data sharing and identity management. The platform consists of three main modules: the core components, the value-added services, and the security manager. Special care is taken to equip each component with state-of-the-art techniques of the corresponding task. As a result, each component acts as a library comprising a wide variety of established methods and can be used independently of the platform.

RECITALS Platform Architecture

RECITALS Core

Provides a series of fundamental components that can be used as building blocks for constructing more complex services. The core includes distributed ledger technology, identity lifecycle management, cryptography, anonymization, and compliance management.

Value-Added Services

Combines multiple components from RECITALS core into end-to-end pipelines that address specific data management tasks or user-oriented applications, including self-sovereign wallets, privacy-preserving record linkage, federated learning, and explainable AI.

Security Manager

Provides all necessary means for ensuring the resilience of the entire platform. It covers all aspects of cyber-security, from the analysis of possible cyber-attacks to their automatic detection and mitigation.
